Sexton Ford, originally owned by Bill Sexton, was in downtown Moline. In the late 1960's Al Pellegrini moved to the Quad-Cities and took over Sexton Ford. In 1971, Al moved the dealership to 3802 16th St., Moline.
It was Al Pellegrini's idea to develop the South Park area as an auto plaza, with competing new-car dealers doing business next door to each other. Mr. Pellegrini bought swamp land, now known as the South Park Auto Plaza, which currently has 3 dealerships.
Mr. Pellegrini had visions of his sons being part of the dealership, and in 1980, his vision became reality. Randy became the new owner of Sexton Ford, later joined by his brother Gary.
Sexton stays on top of the car industries changing times. Our Service and Parts departments are second to none. We employ close to 50 employees in our parts and service areas. Our dealership is staffed by professionals who do continual training on Ford vehicles and are authorized to service Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. The service department services up to 150 cars/trucks daily. Sexton also sells lots of parts to local dealerships and body shops.
The secret to Sexton's success is their family atmosphere because of their long-time employees. Many have been with Sexton for over 30 years. We treat everyone like family and will do our best to earn your business!
